Littlemill Testament Single Malt Whisky is the oldest Littlemill release to date from the closed Littlemill Distillery. There are a total of 4 Special Editions and 250 Main Release worldwide.

This expression was created using whisky distilled in 1976, and recasked in American oak hogsheads in 1996. Following that, master blender Michael Henry vatted three of the casks into a pair of first-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads for a four-month-long finishing period. Finally, the whisky was all brought together to marry for another two months before being bottled in 2020. 



The Special Edition is set in a unique case with dress stopper made from materials salvaged from remains of the Littlemill Distillery, and a pair of authentic Georgina glasses from the late 1700's, with the facet cut on the stems of each pair and unique engraving around the bowl. There is also a small cask piece which carries a code allowing the owner to claim 2 x 5cl of the precious liquid. It is a testament to the quality and history of the product. 

About Littlemill
The Littlemill distillery was officially established in 1772 on the site of an old brewery that had been founded during the 14th century in Bowling on the banks of the River Clyde near Glasgow.

It is rumoured that illicit distilling had taken place there since 1750 when the site was brought by George Buchanan, a malt master, and according to the renowned whisky historian and writer Misako Udo in her book 'The Scotch Whisky Distilleries' distilling may have taken place there for many centuries before, possibly making it the world's oldest whisky distillery. Littlemill fell into perpetual silence since 1994 and then the distillery was destroyed by fire in 2004.
