Glen Scotia has been producing single malt whisky in Campbeltown since 1832 and is one of three surviving distilleries in Campbeltown. A whisky truly made by history, Glen Scotia reflects centuries of craftsmanship and experience associated with Scotland’s fifth and smallest malt producing region and is renowned for its distinct maritime influence and Campbeltown character.

To this day, the distillery team follow in the footsteps of their founders, using traditional methods, carefully creating the unique Campbeltown style that the brand has become world-famous for. In San Francisco World Spirits Competition, over 3,800 entries across 31 categories were judged with Glen Scotia being awarded the overall winner across countries and styles. In addition to this, Glen Scotia was also named Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year at the Scottish Whisky Awards, an accolade it received just 7 months after being crowned as the 'Best the Show'.

Glen Scotia 15 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Tasting Notes

Nose: Broad and medium-weight with citrus peels, ginger snap biscuits. Sweet and with great depth. Apricot aromas develop then drift towards fruit salad. After a short time the wood comes to the fore and water helps to release baked fruit.
Palate: A complicated palate where the initial nose would lead you to expect plump fruits, what you get is a surprisingly dry element. The palate fleshes out as the first impact of the nose fades. Adding water brings out the caramalised elements balanced with the wood elements expected of a 15 year old.
Finish: Firm and slightly dry.
